First nine weeks projects
Halloween |
For this assignment I Found a picture of pumpkins on the internet and opened it in photoshop. then I made a copy of the image (Control +J) , as well as 2 text layers and a background purple layer, both under the the pumpkin picture respectively. I created two clipping masks by clicking the the Alt+Ctrl+G buttons on the keyboard. After that, I added a Brightness adjustment under the adjustments above layers (i looks like the sun), to one of the clipping masks, but not the other. Then I copy and pasted the images of a bat, a Halloween bucket,A spider, and a witches hat onto layers above the clipping masks. I then drew in a spider web with the paintbrush tool. After doing that I made copies of the bat, and the spider, as well as drawing two white strings, one shorter than the other. For the bat copy, I flipped it under transformation and flipped it horizontally. With the spider, I dragged it up to match the shorter string, and kept the other one lower with the longer screen. I then made two brushes using the magic eraser tool, the rectangular marquee tool, and the edit, define brush preset. I made one of a skeleton and the other of the monster from frankenstien. I added them to a layer under the clipping masks. After all of that I went to time line to make a gif. I put in layers of the bright text, and darker text, as well as changing the side the bat faces, and the spider on its web by hiding and un hiding different layers. After I created those variations, I tweened them to make it flow better. Finally, I shrunk the image, and made it into a gif.

Pumpkin |
For this project I opened a picture of a pumpkin, copied it three times, and desaturated one of the layers. After the desaturation. I went to the desaturated images, and started to use the smudge tool to make it a creepy pumpkin. I used the paintbrush tool to correct come of the smudging on the pumpkin. Then I added a text layer at the top, saying Happy Halloween. After that I clicked timeline under windows and made it into a gif. I had three layers for the gif initially. Two of the normal pumpkin, and one of the spooky pumpkin in the middle of the two normal pumpkin images. I tweened all three pumpkin images before saving the gif.
